Mike Abdalla's background includes extensive financial and commodity experience with three fortune 500 companies. At a young age he held high level managerial and executive positions that started as Manager of Commodity sales at Commonwealth Edison in Chicago, Vice President of North East Operations at Williams Energy, and Vice President of Mid West Marketing at Cinergy Corp. In his role as an executive, Mike generated over $180 million in net profits for the companies. He also was one of the leaders in establishing the Electricity commodity market in the United States.
Mike entered the real estate market in 2003 as the Chairman of Q Reality Group. In 2005 Mike and his brothers founded Magna Properties Inc. and now is one of the largest real estate companies in Indiana. Mike served on the board of trustees of numerous North American Reliability Councils that covered the eastern half of the United States. Mike Leads a talented and experienced staff of over 150 employees as President of Magna Properties Inc., Triangle Associates Inc. Mike graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical engineering in 1988 and completed the Executive Finance Program at the University of Texas in Austin in 1997. Mike has also attended numerous executive and financial training seminars at Princeton, Northwestern University, Lewis University, and the University of Chicago.
Executive Vice President
Basim's background includes 18 years of extensive managerial and leadership experience. Most recently with FedEx, his responsibilities at Magna Properties included auditing operations for productivity and service efficiency. Researching, reviewing, recommending best practices and solutions in order to minimize cost and maximize productivity and profitability. Basim's experience also included designing operations and implementing new practices, Basim was involved in creating standards, processes and procedures to meet AOD and FAA regulations and set up operations to meet and exceed the standards. Planning, directing, budgeting, mentoring and training are a few of Basim's abilities.
Basim is a partner and the manager of daily operations of Magna Properties, Inc. and Triangle Associates. Basim Graduated from University of Southern Indiana in 1987 and majored in Business Administration.
Vice President of Procurement and Audits
Rami is responsible for negotiating and approving all Magna Properties vendors and vendor agreements, approving all purchase orders for all properties managed by Magna, and coordinating inventory audits in conjunction with managers and regional managers. Rami also coordinates all capital improvement activities with the corporate staff and auditing the exterior appearances of all building and grounds. In his efforts, Rami is assisted by accounting staff and the executive assistant. Rami is one of the founding members of Magna Properties.
Vice President of Business Ventures
Mo is responsible for growing the company's business ventures in areas that complement the company's operations. His responsibilities include determining marketing strategy, sales, advertising, and operation of such ventures. He also coordinates with the accounting staff to establish budget and pro-forma's.
Mo is currently working on establishing and consolidating the company's maintenance operations. Mo is one of the founding members of Magna Properties.
Ron Mora's responsibilities include managing and monitoring all accounting functions, financial reporting, financial analysis and investor/lender relations. Prior to joining Magna Properties, Ron held various financial positions with Simon Property Group, Buckingham Properties, and Aimco. Ron's extensive financial back ground includes working with companies in the real estate industry in both privately held and publicly traded companies. Ron received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University and his MBA with a finance emphasis from Anderson University.
Diector of Information Technology
and Human Resources
Doug has been with Magna Properties since 2005 and is in charge of both information technology and human resources. Doug has over a decade of experience in IT from both a corporate environment as well as with his own company as an IT consultant.
Doug is responsible for managing all of Magna's information technology needs including administering the Yardi property management software. Doug is also in charge of the human resources department including payroll and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures. Doug is a certified Assisted Housing Manager and in addition to his other duties he assists in managing numerous other aspects of Magna Properties' portfolio.
Director of Compliance
Timothy has over 10 years of affordable and market rate property management experience in both the non-profit and for profit sectors. Timothy holds Tax Credit Specialist and Certified Housing Manager Certifications. Along with an understanding of Section 42 LIHTC, various HUD affordable housing programs, and Service Coordination, Timothy has experience with city and state programs which includes CDBG, HOME, NSP, and local housing agency tenant vouchers. Timothy monitors the compliance of all affordable housing programs and routinely attends update training necessary to stay current on all new regulations.
As Regional Manager for Magna Properties' suburban portfolio of multi-family communities, Wanda is responsible for ensuring resident satisfaction and high standards of living, overseeing all aspects of the properties' day to day operations, as well as long range planning. Her background includes extensive experience with project-based subsidies including section 8, section 42, and 236, along with conventional rentals and condominiums. Wanda has been in property management for over 25 years.
Stephanie has 12 years of experience in the property management industry and has held positions from leasing agent to property manager. Stephanie joined Magna Properties in 2005 as a property manager and managed multiple sites for the company before beginning her position in the corporate office. Stephanie assists the owners with all aspects of managing the Magna portfolio include creating and monitoring budgets, training new management employees, and monitoring performance and compliance with company policies. Stephanie is a certified Assisted Housing Manager and assists with management of both Magna's conventional and assisted portfolios.
Kelly joined Magna Properties in 2009 and handles accounts payable for the Magna portfolio. Her primary tasks include interfacing with the properties regarding any payment or invoicing matters, reviewing invoices for accuracy, and processing payments. She also acts as a liaison to many of the vendors we work with. Kelly also has several other accounting duties including monitoring corporate expenditures and allocating them to the appropriate legal entity.
