Mike Abdalla's background includes extensive financial and commodity experience with three fortune 500 companies. At a young age he held high level managerial and executive positions that started as Manager of Commodity sales at Commonwealth Edison in Chicago, Vice President of North East Operations at Williams Energy, and Vice President of Mid West Marketing at Cinergy Corp. In his role as an executive, Mike generated over $180 million in net profits for the companies. He also was one of the leaders in establishing the Electricity commodity market in the United States.
Mike entered the real estate market in 2003 as the Chairman of Q Reality Group. In 2005 Mike and his brothers founded Magna Properties Inc. and now is one of the largest real estate companies in Indiana. Mike served on the board of trustees of numerous North American Reliability Councils that covered the eastern half of the United States. Mike Leads a talented and experienced staff of over 150 employees as President of Magna Properties Inc., Triangle Associates Inc. Mike graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical engineering in 1988 and completed the Executive Finance Program at the University of Texas in Austin in 1997. Mike has also attended numerous executive and financial training seminars at Princeton, Northwestern University, Lewis University, and the University of Chicago.
Executive Vice President
Basim has over 25 years of managerial and leadership experience in both the real estate industry and in large corporations including FedEx Express.
Basim currently serves as a Vice President of Magna Properties and Triangle Associates. His responsibilities include supervision of daily operations, budgeting, operational planning, and auditing operations for productivity and service efficiency. Basim has experience with designing operations and new practices, procedures, and standards to meet and exceed HUD and FHA rules and regulations. He excels in mentoring, training, and successful team-building while minimizing cost and maximizing productivity and long term efficiency and success.
Basim manages daily operations for Magna Properties and Triangle Associates, totaling over 3000 units of conventional and subsidized apartment communities spanning 3 states. Basim graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a BS degree in 1987 and majored in Business Administration, with minors in economics and political science and has also participated in many leadership and graduate courses.
Vice President of Procurement and Audits
Rami is responsible for negotiating and approving all Magna Properties vendors and vendor agreements, approving all purchase orders for all properties managed by Magna, and coordinating inventory audits in conjunction with managers and regional managers. Rami also coordinates all capital improvement activities with the corporate staff and auditing the exterior appearances of all building and grounds. In his efforts, Rami is assisted by accounting staff and the executive assistant. Rami is one of the founding members of Magna Properties.
Vice President of Business Ventures
Mo is responsible for growing the company's business ventures in areas that complement the company's operations. His responsibilities include determining marketing strategy, sales, advertising, and operation of such ventures. He also coordinates with the accounting staff to establish budget and pro-forma's.
Mo is currently working on establishing and consolidating the company's maintenance operations. Mo is one of the founding members of Magna Properties.
Ron Mora's responsibilities include managing and monitoring all accounting functions, financial reporting, financial analysis and investor/lender relations. Prior to joining Magna Properties, Ron held various financial positions with Simon Property Group, Buckingham Properties, and Aimco. Ron's extensive financial back ground includes working with companies in the real estate industry in both privately held and publicly traded companies. Ron received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University and his MBA with a finance emphasis from Anderson University.
Director of Information Technology
Doug has been with Magna Properties since 2005 and is in charge of information technology. Doug has over a decade of experience in IT from both a corporate environment as well as with his own company as an IT consultant.
Doug is responsible for managing all of Magna's information technology needs including administering the Yardi property management software. Doug is a certified Assisted Housing Manager and in addition to his other duties he assists in managing numerous other aspects of Magna Properties' portfolio.
Shannon has over 9 years of experience in property management, overseeing a variety of asset types including multi-family, industrial, commercial, retail, and manufactured housing communities.
Shannon is responsible for the daily operations at all of Magna Properties' communities. Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer sciences specializing in Residential Property Management, with a minor in Business Management and is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker. Shannon specializes in training and team development, using her experiences to assist in organizing, developing, and implementing operational procedures.
During her career, Ellen has worked as HR Director, Training and Recruitment Manager, and in various positions with dual roles of both human resources and accounting. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida and a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University. She has a PHR (Professional in Human Resource Management) certification and spends approximately 30 hours per year pursuing continuing education to maintain this certification.
